The Government of the Republic of Macedonia and the Agency for Financial Support of the Agriculture and Rural Development hereby notify all interested legal and natural persons that during July 2011
Public Call for submission of applications for allocation of funds from the Component V under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance of the European Union (IPARD Program 2007-2013,
“Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia” no. 83/2009, dated 03.07.2009) shall be published.
The objective of the IPARD Program 2007-2013 is to provide support, through adequate measures, to the agriculture and the rural development and improve the competition of the agriculture production and the agro-food sector via their harmonization to the European Union standards and achieve sustainable environmental and socio-economic development of the rural areas via increasing the economic activity and the employment opportunities.
The funds under the IPARD Program 2007-2013 in reference to the Public Call for submission of applications for allocation of funds to be published in July 2011relate to the following measures:
Measure 101 – Investments in agriculture holdings for their restructuring and upgrading to the Community standards
Measure 103 – Investments in processing and marketing of agriculture and fishery products for their restructuring and upgrading to Community standards, and
Measure 302 – Diversification and development of the rural economic activities
The projected funds for the implementation of this Public Call for submission of applications for allocation of funds are total amount of 18.565.000, 00EUR out of which 75% are contributions from the EU and 25% are contributions from the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia that will be calculated in MKD national currency with prevailing exchange rate as in July 2011.
The rules for allocation of funds under the IPARD Program 2007—2013 foresee prior signing of Contract between the potential Beneficiaries and the Agency for Financial Support of the Agriculture and Rural Development and implementation of the approved investments according the previously agreed terms. On-the-spot control and the supervision of the Contract implementation shall be performed by authorized persons from the Agency for Financial Support of the Agriculture and Rural Development as well as relevant Institutions from the Republic of Macedonia for managing, implementation and control of IPARD funds and the European Union.
The method and the procedure for allocation of funds under the IPARD Program 2007-2013 are stipulated in the Decree on the manner and the procedure for using financial support for rural development measures financed under the Component V – Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance for Rural Development of the European Union (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia” no.112/2009 dated 09.09.2009)
The announcement shall be valid 45 days from the day of publishing of the Public Call in the daily newspapers.
NOTICE: Necessary documentation for preparing and submitting of applications, including Guideline for the Beneficiaries of funds from the IPARD Program 2007-2013 will be updated and announced on the Agency’s web page before publishing of the Public Call.
