The month of May was marked by posts on Macedonian portals that shared the opposing opinions of the previous and current Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
- At a parliamentary session on parliamentary questions, MP Ljupčo Nikolovski, who was Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the previous government, openly criticized the current Minister Cvetan Tripunovski and the Director of the Paying Agency, Ilija Stoilev, accusing them of laxity in their work, which brought into question the success of the IPARD 3 program.
These accusations were published in several Macedonian portals: Puls 24, Racin. mk and Infomax. All of them published the information with the same title “Nikolovski: From leaders in the use of IPARD, VMRO-DPMNE has questioned the accreditation for European funds”.

- The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Cvetan Tripunovski, as a counterargument to the attacks from the opposition, pointed out that the new Law on Agriculture and Rural Development does not threaten the accreditation of IPARD 3.
This news was published on the portals: Business Vesti, Republika, Press 24, MIA and Agrotim, all with the identical title: “The new Law on Agriculture and Rural Development of ENER, the accreditation of IPARD 3 is not threatened”. The Business Vesti publication quoted Tripunovski’s statement: “It is absolutely not threatened. We are even working on a new accreditation of the rural infrastructure measure where we will provide additional funds for our Macedonian municipalities in the area of building rural infrastructure. We are more successful. The numbers speak for themselves. Currently, over 60 percent of the IPARD European funds are being used,” he said.
